This is the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI 🌆🍕🏀🏒.. Man, this is amazing. It’s amazing to see my city and hometown make a comeback like this. When I was growing up I would always hear stories about how great Downtown Detroit and “Motown” was. The big buildings and everything that was talked about in Detroit had died down by the time I was born. There wasn’t much to Downtown, or in the city of Detroit for that much. This was from 90s all the way up until a couple years ago. The Lions have never been a good team up until the past couple years and the Tigers had a few good World Series Runs. The Pistons won the championship in 2004. I wasn’t really a Pistons fan growing up but of course I was happy for the city when they won the ship. Maybe I’m not a Pistons fan because the Pistons hadn’t actually played in the city of Detroit since the 80s. I wasn’t even born then… but that’s beside the point, Lol. I remember so many abandoned buildings and the torn down train station. Everything I heard so many great stories about, I saw the worst of them. I remember a couple of friends and I would take the bus downtown and we would literally have to find things to do. There were a couple restaurants at the time, a movie theater inside of the GM Renaissance Center that no one really knew about, and that’s pretty much it. Unless you were over 21 and could go to our many casinos, Downtown was kind of a bust. We do have a ton of lavish casinos by the way if you ever get a chance to visit.
It’s great to see my hometown making a comeback and this stadium is a big part of it. The Little Caesar’s Arena where the Detroit Pistons and Detroit Red Wings now play is great for the city. Now people who live in the city can enjoy the games too without having to drive an hour all the way to Auburn Hills, not counting traffic… 🤷🏽♂️
